Current Projects in progress:

• BioPAT server cooling trialling the use of Peltier solid state cooling: the solid state nature of this design removes the need for servicing compared to the more common refrigeration methods. Externally there are no moving parts and the heat emitting surface is easily cleaned.
• Powder Sampler probe design evolves permitting the use of smaller ATR probes: the resultant benefits are lower costs and the improved chances of retrofitting to small nozzles.
• Unimount Lifter under development: pneumatically operated lift to attach to the Unimount probe clamp  to permit safe and easy withdrawal of the probe. In applications where regular withdrawal of the probe is required e.g. for recalibration, this device permits controlled and repeatable probe positioning.
